Reading is
Active and
Stimulating
Reading is health food for our brains. It combats:
Isolation
Anxiety
Stress
Depression
Studies have also shown that reading delays memory loss and dementia, and might even stave off the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.
Reading is a positive activity. But as we age, reading becomes more challenging.
We have a hard time seeing small type.
We can’t easily track complex sentence structures.
We struggle to follow narrative jumps.
We are tripped up remembering characters and why they matter to the story.
